The all-new 2010 E-Class was revealed just over a month ago at the Detroit Auto Show, bearing a brand-new face and an updated platform, but there are several other variants still in the works such as the long-wheelbase (LWB) version due at the end of the year. LWB models are increasingly becoming popular in emerging markets such as China where it’s not uncommon for regular models like the E-Class to be available in stretched form.

This computer generated rendering gives us a preview of the LWB E-Class, revealing that the car will essentially be the same as the standard sedan but with stretched rear doors.
